Laura Shepard Townsend moved to the West Coast in 1975, and has been working in the entertainment business since then. She has been writing since 1982, primarily for film and television. The story for this series of books, Destiny’s Consent, has been eight years in the actualizing; The Gypsy’s Song is the first book, and soon to follow is Lions and Gondolas

Ms. Townsend resides in a cottage surrounded by flowers in Venice, California, a location that has provided a strong muse for her and her writing.
